Buy local to create jobs

Proudly SA urged South Africans to buy local manufactured products, which has the potential to create more jobs, thus, reducing high levels of unemployment.

This is according Proudly SA CEO, Leslie Sedibe, during a business networking session, recently held in Boksburg.

He said it remains of utmost importance that the local service industry is supported, which means money spent remains in South Africa.

Productivity SA CEO, Bongani Coka supported Sedibe’s plea, adding that is also imperative that local manufacturers make sure products of a high standard and can meet demand.

In attendance was the director of NPO Labour Culture Network in Japan, Fujikazu Suzuki, who said the two countries share common ideas about productivity.

“Guiding principles of the productivity movement includes the expansion of employment, and to ensure proper cooperation between management and labour,” said Suzuki.
