Suspected drug dealer arrested

A 43-year-old suspected drug dealer was arrested in Parkrand by members of the EMPD’s Crime Prevention Unit, on October 12.

According to Supt Wilfred Kgasago, spokesperson for the EMPD, they were acting on a tip-off from a reliable source.

“In the suspect’s vehicle as well as at his house, metro police uncovered various drugs estimated to be worth R50 000 on the streets.

“On stopping and searching the suspect’s vehicle, metro police came across 500mg of the drug Cat under the driver’s seat,” says Kgasago.

He says that more drugs were found in the man’s garage in a safe, an additional 26 sachets of Cat, 17 bottles filled with different types of dagga, the drug mushroom in a one litre container, 100 ecstasy tablets called Roche, as well as 500ml of the chemical ‘E’ and 500ml of some kind of acid.
