Filthy toilets at hospital cleaned
The Advertiser recently reported that faeces and urine were found covering a toilet at the Tambo Memorial Hospital.
According to the complainant, Sebrina Bezuidenhout, she took her boyfriend to the hospital on August 9 and that was when she discovered the state of the toilets.
She says the toilet was unhygienic to the point of being of no use.
Prince Hamnca, spokesperson for the Gauteng Department of Health, says that upon being informed about this matter, hospital management immediately dispatched cleaners to the area.
“New monitoring mechanisms have been put in place to ensure that patients are not forced to use unhygienic toilets in the hospital,” he says. – @CarmenBoksburg
