Lieut Juanita Coetzer, communications officer for the Boksburg North SAPS, says in one incident a vehicle was stolen out of garage, which was not locked.
“The other vehicles were parked in parking areas and most of them were at business premises and one at a shopping centre.
“Please make sure your vehicle will be safe and secure where you park,” says Coetzer.
She said it is crucial that companies make sure their security personnel are aware of these increases.
“Entrances to business premises must be controlled properly and security guards should be vigilant when allowing people to enter and exit the premises.
“Security personnel must check vehicles properly when they enter, and especially when they go out.” – @CarmenBoksburg
