The family woke up to find a burglar in their dining room. The family boiled water with the intention to burn the intruder who escaped through the bathroom window.They later discovered that their mirror went missing.
* on August 2 a man was on left without food and cooking equipments after thieves forced their way into his shack in Ulana informal settlement.
They stole his gas stove, maize meal, cooking oil and a car battery.
* Thieves forced their way into a house and stole a TV set on Friday night, August 1. The theft occurred while the family members were still asleep inside their house along Lavender Street, Reiger Park.
