Career expo empowers Oos Rand Secondary learners

Transnet Freight Rail in partnership with Bombardier Transportation SA, held a successful career exhibition at Oos Rand Secondary School in Reiger Park, to showcase the vast career paths within the two freight rail companies.

Hundreds of senior learners from the school had the opportunity to attend the informative career exhibition.

Teachers from the school were also present.

The two organisations were represented by several speakers who spoke about the different careers within the two organisations.

Stationery including rulers, pencils, erasers and other items were given away as gifts during the event.

Both organisations are looking towards getting more young people to carry their organisations forward.

Transnet has recently awarded contracts to the total of R50-billion to four railway groups for the building of electric and diesel locomotives.
