According to Russel Meiring, spokesperson for ER24, paramedics arrived on scene and found the patient lying at the side of the road.
“Members of the public had stopped and offered their assistance to the injured woman; paramedics had to provide the patient with advanced life support due to her severe injuries,” says Meiring.
He adds that once she was stable, the woman was transported to a nearby hospital for urgent treatment.
“Witnesses said the woman had apparently crossed the road without noticing the oncoming vehicle. Local authorities were on scene to investigate,” Meiring says. – @CarmenBoksburg
