SUV and truck collide; DA sends condolences to family
The DA has sent condolences to the Hendricks family on their loss.

Ward 32 Clr Johan Hendricks lost his son Etienne (52), in a motor car accident on Wednesday morning, 7:30am, July 9.
The accident took place on Pretoria Road, Bapsfontein.
The Advertiser incorrectly at first stated it was on Barbara Road.
According to Er24, a truck and SUV collided head-on. When ER24 paramedics arrived on scene, they found the road blocked by the two wrecked vehicles.
Russel Meiring of ER24, says when paramedics assessed the driver of the SUV, they found his body trapped inside the vehicle with no signs of life.
“The driver of the truck sustained only minor injuries. He was treated for his injuries and transported to Far East Rand Hospital for further observation,” says Meiring.
“Metro services were on scene to divert the traffic as well as to begin their investigations.”
On behalf of the DA caucus, its leader Fortune Mahano has expressed his deepest sympathies.
“Every member of your caucus deeply feels the pain of the Hendricks family and we wish them God’s blessings and strength,” says Mahano.
Mahano says the family is still planning the funeral service, which will take place at the Methodist Church in Springs on Tuesday, July 15.
