While riding his bicycle on his way to school, Luke Scholtz (18) was allegedly hit by a taxi, and died on May 22 at 6.30am.
The incident occurred on Rondebult Road, between Windmill Park Estates and Dawn Park.
According to the deceased’s farther, Micheal Scholtz, his son was found on the pavement along the road, as well as his bicycle.
“How could the taxi driver hit my son while he was driving his bicycle on the pavement?”
“There are different stories going around of what exactly happened to my son – I just want the truth to come out.”
There were allegedly 10 school kids in the taxi when the incident occurred, but Scholtz says that none of them wants to say what happened on the morning of the accident.
The vehicle that allegedly hit the deceased is a light blue kombi and the license plate is VSX 705 GP.
