Ukajede keeps children warm this winter

The Ukajede Foundation, in partnership with the Birchwood Hotel, hosted a winter warmer campaign for all the crèche kids of Ukajede recently.

The theme of this campaign is to keep a child warm this winter.

All the donors and sponsors were invited to the event and thanked for their generous contributions.

Ward 33 Clr Hilary Coke was present to spread her love among all the youngsters.

The East Rand Business Women has also showed support for the The Ukajede Foundation by donating scarves, gloves and socks.

It was a fun-filled day with plenty activities for the children, provided by The Ventures Group.

The highlight of the event was the handover of the winter clothes that were collected during the campaign to all the children.

Four years ago, the Birchwood Hotel and OR Tambo Conference Centre took a huge step by adopting five informal settlements in Boksburg by supporting in various projects.

Ukajede is an acronym for Ulana, Kanana, Angelo, Jerusalem and Delmore informal settlements. – @IschkeBoksburg
