Little fighter’s operation a success

The operation that two-year-old Anzel Henning (Apie) underwent to remove her left lymph node in her thigh was successfully done at the Sunward Park Hospital on Friday, June 6.

The operation was a necessity after hard knobs were found near the lymph node. On Friday, a blood clot was removed.

Izelle, the mother of Anzel, says more lumps than expected were found. They now wait for results from the lab to determine what steps will be taken.

After having difficulty raising funds for Apie’s medical costs, Izelle says they have managed to get enough funds.

“The amount was more than the estimated amount given to us.

“Thanks everyone for all the donations, concern and support. Without the donation, we wouldn’t have been able to get this operation done in the first place.

“We will continue to keep the public up to date.”

q For those who want to find out more about the lumps as in the case of Anzel, search “Haematoma” on the Internet. – @IschkeBoksburg
