The incident occurred on Madeley Road, Dayanglen.
According to Lieut Juanita Coetzer, communications for the Boksburg North SAPS, the man was declared dead by paramedics on the scene.
“The driver of the vehicle did not sustain injuries, but was taken to hospital for shock treatment.”
