According to acting metro spokesperson Themba Gadebe Member of the Mayoral Committee (MMC) on Finance, Clr Moses Makwakwa will deliver the budget, which is set to complement promises made in the State of the City Address (Soca).
“The forming of the budget follows through consultative meetings with the communities of Ekurhuleni in which residents were given an opportunity to influence the budget allocations in terms of priorities important to them.”
“The budget speech comes shortly after the general elections whose conclusion drew the spotlight to local authorities’ performance ahead of the local government elections in 2016,” says Gadebe.
