Annual fire-fighting competition on Thursday
The Fire Protection Association of South Africa (FPASA) will host its 15th Annual National Fire-Fighting Competition at its Fire College in Boksburg on Thursday, May 22.

The Association provides a specialised fire safety management technical and training service to industry, commerce and society at large.
Its role covers education, information, advice, consultancy and training.
Christine van der Westhuizen from the college says fire teams and fire marshals from across the country will compete for the sought-after trophies.
“This year eight teams and 22 fire marshals from various companies will participate and entry is open to any industrial, commercial and special risk fire teams and fire marshals,” explains Westhuizen.
The competition will be adjudicated by eight independent judges from different fire brigades and fire-related organisations.
