“The cable has been repaired and supply was restored to the area at approximately 12:30am on Saturday morning,” says acting metro spokesperson Themba Gadebe.
Gadebe says the outage was caused by damage to a 33kV cable between the Les Smith and Boksburg East substations by a contractor.
