Club promotes the art of photography

Boksburg Camera Club is for anybody who is passionate about photography, be it beginner or professional.

According to Laetitia Kenny, the club is affiliated to the Photographic Society of South Africa (PSSA), which in turn is affiliated with photographic societies throughout the world.

“A typical club evening consists of a talk by a visiting judge. These talks cover a variety of photographic genres such as sport, wildlife, portraiture, landscape, recent interesting holidays and many more,” says Kenny.

“During the second part of the evening members submit images for comment. Images may be submitted in digital format or as prints. This part of the evening is very beneficial as members are exposed to a number of images and the comments are usually very educational.

“The club also offers workshops and outing so that members can advance in their photography.”

The members of Boksburg Camera Club meet at Baanbreker Skool in Parkrand on the second Monday of every month at 7pm.
