Flu vaccine before the winter

With winter upon us, the Nuwe Lewe Boksburg (NLB) Church on Trichard Road gave flu vaccinations to plus-minus 80 homeless people on Thursday April 3.

With monetary donations from various organisations the church was able to purchase flu vaccination injections. With monetary donations from organisations such as BetterCover Insurance Brokers, Imperial Toyota Bedfordview and PTS Conveyor Idlers, the church purchased the injections and a nurse was responsible for the procedure.

NLB also has a feeding scheme where volunteers assist in cooking and dishing out a meal to those less fortunate on a daily basis.
