Enter the Clover Little Big Cook Off
Parents and children can enter the ultimate cooking show, that will test their skills and in which they can win prizes.
The Clover Little Big Cook Off will be broadcast on SABC3 in May.
In a stroke of tasty brilliance, Clover has unveiled their delicious reality television show, that blends families with food and a dash of spice.
This world-first cooking challenge will pit children and their parents against other food-mad families on national television.
These teams will out-cook and out-whisk each other over 13 weeks of baking, frying and spatula-waving action, in a bid to become the champions and win fantastic prizes, countrywide acclaim and see their recipes published in the Clover Little Big Cook Off Recipe Book.
“The Clover Little Big Cook Off is the first of its kind in the world and was inspired by parents and children and how time spent cooking can really bring them together,” says Sherian King, brand group manager for dairy, at Clover.
“We wanted to create something that got mums, dads and their kids involved in a gastronomical adventure they will remember forever.”
Think that a television cooking show can’t possibly get more exciting than what you’ve already seen? Wrong. Imagine watching talented children with moms and dads, aunts or uncles working together to show the world their secret family recipes, without tripping over Lego or wondering why nobody told them they’d run out of milk.
Hosting the Clover Little Big Cook Off is Zuraida Jardine, television and radio host, actress and entrepreneur.
Belgian master chef Coco Reinarhz and chef extraordinaire Martin Kobald, both known names in the cooking environment, are the judges, bringing their passion for cooking to the show.
The Clover Little Big Cook Off is looking for people to step up and enter a family team of two before April 10.
All that’s needed is the purchase of any two Clover Dairy promotional products and to follow the instructions on the back of the packs.
A family could win prizes valued at up to R1 000 000, that include an overseas holiday for seven nights, a kitchen makeover worth R300 000 and a chance to have their recipes published in the Clover Little Big Cook Off Recipe Book.
Entries for the family teams opened on February 1 and will close on the April 10. Thereafter, Clover will hold closed auditions to select the 27 families who have the skills and talent to appear on the show.
The first heat runs over nine episodes, with the show kicking off at 5pm on Saturdays, during May, on SABC3.
