According to Lieut Juanita Coetzer, communications officer for the Boksburg North SAPS, the men were arrested on February 18.
“WO Anton du Plessis and Sgt Jaco van der Mescht followed up information regarding suspects who rob school children of their cellphones.
“They arrested one suspect and after further investigations, they arrested two more men in New Delmore, just off Main Reef Road,” says Coetzer.
She says that the suspects would drive up to the children, get out of the vehicle, and threaten them with knives.
A case of robbery was opened and the suspects were detained at Boksburg North police station.
