Lieut Col Katlego Mogale, from the provincial SAPS, says that one of the suspects was out on parole for an armed robbery whilst the other suspect has been linked to a theft case.
Both the suspects will appear in the Boksburg Magistrates Court soon on charges of attempted murder and hijacking.
