Jimmy Carr’s is placing a Gagging Order on us
Best-known for his signature laugh, deadpan delivery and edgy one-liners, UK comedian, Jimmy Carr is without a doubt one of the UK’s most hotly contested acts on the international stand-up circuit.
In early 2014 he will be performing in SA.
Having played to over 1.5-million people on live tours around the world, Jimmy knows a thing or two about making people laugh; and local audiences can expect to laugh until they cry or their sides split – whichever comes first – during his latest show, Gagging Order, which will take place in the Big Top Arena, at Carnival City, on March 29.
But a word of warning: Jimmy doesn’t pull any punches, so be sure to bring an open mind – in fact, UK newspaper, the Independent on Sunday, referred to him as being “as sick as he is slick”.
And this is not a word of a lie – he’s famous for pushing boundaries, so expect to be entertained beyond your expectations by this award-winning funnyman.
His stand-up achievements to date include winning a British Comedy Award for Best Live Stand Up Tour and a Loaded LAFTA Award for Best Stand-Up.
He has also received a Perrier Award nomination.
