Water pipe burst finally attended to

Municipality says a team will be dispatched to attend to a water pipe burst immediately, after it had been leaking for over 24 hours, despite numerous complaints.

After lodging a complaint to municipality over three times, a Boksburg resident resorted to the Advertiser for assistance.

According to the complainant, a burst water pipe on the corner of Jansen and Waldwyn roads, in Jet Park had been leaking for over 24 hours, and had not been attended to.

Municipality says the matter will be attended to and an investigation will be conducted.

“The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality will do an enquiry into why the complaint was not attended to within the timeframes as per the Customer Service Standards,” says acting metro spokesperson Themba Gadebe.
