Themba Gadebe, acting spokesperson for the metro, says the areas concerned are serviced on Orange colour (Thursday) days, as per their refuse removal programme.
“We will send people to monitor and identify the transgressors and issue them with notices and calendars.
“If they continue to transgress we will engage the services of Environmental Health so that penalties can be instituted,” he says.
Gadebe adds that residents are requested to conform to the refuse removal programme; these calendars are available at their offices as well as on the metro’s website.
