CPF news and next meeting

Boksburg South CPF (extension three) had a relatively good 2013, but it was still marred with some unfortunate incidents of theft and burglary.

Yet, it was not without any successes. Due to diligent neighbours some of these perpetrators were caught and justice served.

CPF also had some farewells last year.

CPF chairman, Joe Araujo, left for Cape Town, and the vice-chairman, Dean Manuel, left for Durban.

CPF would like to extend a word of gratitude to these two pillars in their community for their constant participation and commitment.

“We have lost two outstanding people and we will need two more of the same calibre to step up to the plate in order to keep the CPF running and effective.”

says Jacqui Jordan from the CPF, who thanks everyone for being the eyes and ears of their community throughout 2013.

“But it is my humble request that we step it up a notch in 2014,” says Jordan.

She continues that all need to be more diligent and committed to their cause – to take hands and eradicate the scourge of crime in their area.

“The constant sale of drugs and other crimes that we as a community can get rid of, can only be achieved by getting involved and becoming a patroller and reporting all suspicious behaviour.”

CPF invites everyone to join them on January 22, 7pm, at 8 Wolraad Street, Boksburg South, to re-launch their endeavours and to get everyone on board again.

If possible, those attending are friendly requested to bring a chair.

  1. Tonight is the 3rd night in a row I have found vehicles or personnel driving vehicles wearing the CPF impala park emblems or markings on a car. driving like hooligans.
They skip stop streets drive like maniacs and also speed in the Impala Park, Witkoppie Ridge Precinct.
Today I followed a White Golf5 GTI the 2 occupants was wearing red bibs displaying the CPF emblem after leaving the Caltex garage the left driving down the road like a bat out of hell,
I thought I will set follow and perhaps assist if there was trouble only to found the driver skipping 3 stop streets just to drop his partner/ co pilot/ groupie at home.
I have been a resident in this neighbour hood for almost 31 years.
A Father of a very close friend of mine was killed after starting his own community police force called Isizwe, whilst assisting someone being hi-Jacked on the corner of Diaz and Roman road.
    Long before “CPF” ever existed.
I have spent many of nights with him and his son and participating Neighbours patrolling the streets at night.
But we always up-held the law!
we drove like normal people , STOPED!!! at stop streets, and didn’t SPEEEEED!!!!.
We set an example a sense of pride and doing the right thing. So I ask please don’t see this as a RIGHT!! to pretend you own the Neighbourhood!
We all live here and we keep a watchful EYE and look out for each other, but that does not give us the RIGHT!! to do what we feel like or act like the neighbourhood is your playground!
The second thing is that I have picked up is your assembly of members that gather at the Caltex must treat the staff with respect.
DONT WALK IN AND PUT DOWN DEMANDS like telling the cashier the F#$@king coffee Machine must F^%&%king work.
Then his gang member supported his STANCE and as if almost they cheered him.
Guys Community means: “The people of a district or country considered collectively, especially in the context of social VALUES! and RESPONSABILITYS!”
NOT! to treat the area as your own personal playground. I belief what you do is a good community service but change the COWBOYS in your team’s attitudes!!.

    Regards Disgusted Community Citizen.
