“We have not faced any serious irregularities this year, and 99 504 full-time candidates sat for exams in 1 274 sites across the province,” says Sekhonyane.
He adds that results will be announced on January 7, 2014, and all learners are urged to go to their schools on this day to collect their results.
“We wish learners well with their results. If learners do not do as well as they would have liked, they have an opportunity to apply to write supplementary examinations in February and March 2014, or they can rewrite a few subjects in October and November 2014.”
