Stress management training at Mercy Haven

Mercy Haven hosted a three-day workshop on stress, time and conflict management, from November 19 to 21.

The workshop was facilitated by Busi Mkhize from Pro-Active.

Women from Senzeleni Home Base Care (Windmill Park), Grow With Us Home Base Care (Ramaphosa), St Francis Care Centre, Leratong Crisis Centre (Springs), as well as staff and volunteers attended.

Mkhize says the training is aimed at teaching people how to react under stress and during conflict.

“Stress knows no colour, creed or status; everyone gets affected by it in one way or another,” says Mkhize.

Sibongile Masilela, social auxiliary worker at Mercy Haven, says the training was aimed at empowering women.

The 36 who attended will receive completion certificates.
