No paper pickers causing problem

A very angry resident from Lilianton in Boksburg, complained to the Advertiser about a piling up of rubbish just outside her house.

Annemarie Labuschagne has been complaining to municipality on numerous occasions about the unkempt pathway just across her house.

“I have an endless battle to pick the rubbish up from my pavement daily. A while ago when I complained, the municipality put up bins, but nobody ever empties them,” says Labuschagne.

Sam Modiba, spokesperson for the metro, says the matter will be resolved.

“The complaint is noted. Litter pickers will be sent to attend to the matter,” he says.

However Labuschagne is still not satisfied.

“My issue is that why do I have to complain every time before they do something? It should be regularly scheduled,” she says.
