According to Dawn Park police spokesperson W/O Prudence Mvelase, the suspect was found by community members, after allegedly attempting to break into a woman’s house.
“The woman heard noises outside, and then saw a few men in her yard. She started screaming, which resulted in community members chasing after the suspect,” says Mvelase.
Community members caught one suspect and took matters into their own hands, resorting to mob justice.
The man was arrested and appeared in court on November 11.
He is still in police custody.
