Suzuki Boksburg donates winter jackets to detectives

Sixty-three winter jackets for detectives were handed over to the acting head of Reiger Park detectives, Capt David Snell.

The donation, made by Suzuki Boksburg, was handed over at the dealer’s premises, on Tuesday, November 12.

Suzuki-Boksburg, dealer principal Eric Calverley says this is their way of rewarding the police for their good work in probing crime incidents.

“Members of the SAPS put their lives on the line every day; give their all – 24 hours a day, seven days a week – to keep us safe. So, this is our way of recognising those sacrifices. Police officers in Reiger Park have dealt with a rash of violence, some of the violence directed against them, but they never bow down to criminals.

Spokesman for the Reiger Park SAPS, Sgt Mashudu Phathela, expressed his gratitude to Suzuki management for their support.

Thanking Suzuki for the gesture, he stated that participation of the local businesses and community members around was of paramount importance for meeting the growing logistics and infrastructure needs of the police station.
