Nominations now open for East Rand Awards
The first-ever East Rand Award Ceremony Initiative (ACI) will be held in March next year.
“We want to bring excitement and fun to the East Rand. We want to honour different crafts and expose these magnificent talents to South Africa and the world,” says Pha Cyd marketing director Lerato Molepe.
Molepo says the East Rand Awards will acknowledge celebrate and honour the rich entrepreneurial and creative spirit contributed by Ekurhuleni’s talent.
All entrants are eligible to enter if they were produced or publically exhibited during the period of September 1 2012, to October 31, 2013.
Categories include: Best Visual Producer, Best Clothing Brand, Event of the Year, Best Promoter, Best Vernac Artist, Best New Artist, Best Street Duo, Best Hustler, Best Management Brand, Best Fashionista, Best Dance DJ, Best Street DJ, Best Digital Download, Best Local Entrepreneur, Best Mixtape, Best Music Producer, Best Choreographer, Best Dance Duo, Best Male and Best Female.
Submissions are open, and interested parties may submit their nominations to: nominate@phacyd.co.za by no later than December 20, at noon.
Nominees will be announced on Friday, December 27.
