Noni launches clothing label
Gospel singer, Nonhlanhla (Noni) Mdluli, is set to add the title of designer to her list of accolades as she prepares to launch her new clothing label, Nstar Creations, in Boksburg.
Many people may know her as the former lead singer of Joyous Celebration and wife to television personality and gospel singer Thabo Mdluli, but Noni has plans to improve her brand as an artist.
Having started her career in music, Noni says she always knew that she wanted to be a fashion designer.
“I am a fashion design student now, but I’ve worn many of my own designs during my musical performances,” she says.
The vibrant and ambitious woman says she has designed the kind of line that young middle-class professional women would want to wear.
“My designs can be defined as simplistic yet elegant and, most importantly, affordable,” says Noni with a smile.
A woman determined to do it on her own, Noni says her brand will be her signature, as it will redefine the modern woman.
“At Nstar Creations we will not only be selling a line, but we will be offering consultations and helping women find a personal style,” says Noni.
Having grown up and living in the East Rand all her life, Noni says she will be launching her line in Boksburg, and is hoping to get a great response.
