A new look for customer care rates hall

Consumers in the Boksburg area will soon enjoy the pleasure of walking into a one-stop customer service centre to pay for their municipal rates and services.

The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality’s Boksburg Customer Care Area (CCA) office, located on Trichardts Street, is undergoing an upgrade, which is set to improve operations at the rates hall and ensure customers have a better experience when doing business with the metro.

The metro is changing the face of its Customer Care Area offices throughout the city to a uniform look and feel.

According to Sam Modiba, metro spokesperson, this will ensure a more logical flow where the customers will be serviced and have access to more services at a single service point like paying bills, querying accounts, booking facilities and more.

The process of upgrading the facility commenced early in October and is scheduled to be concluded at the end of June 2014.

Customer service at the CCA will not be affected by the ongoing work.

The rates hall will still be operational for the duration of the upgrades, however only three of the six cashiers will be open.

The metro apologises for any inconvenience caused by the work.
