Hair studio wins big at nationals
PinCurl Hair Studio, a salon based in Parkdene, won big prizes at the 2013 National Hairdressing Championships.
The two-day-event was recently held at Gallagher Estate, where hundreds of hairstylists across the country competed against each other in various categories, including styling.
PinCurl was represented by two experienced hairstylists Sonja Smith (owner and stylist) and Jen Bermingham (stylist).
Smith came first in the Bridal Style category and also came second in the Avant-Garde Style category.
Bermingham came second in the Bridal Style category and third in Avant-Garde, which is a very technical and creative section.
There were about 60 contestants in the bridal category.
PinCurl staff members began competing in the National Hairdressing Championships since 2005, and they have won several times.
“We are a very dynamic team that loves challenges,” says Smith.
