Bookworms can help handicapped at centre

Bookworms in Ekurhuleni and surrounding areas are invited to a charity book sale to be held on November 9.

The charity book sale will be held at Avril Elizabeth Home, situated at 11 Castor Road, Primrose.

The aim is to raise money, in support of the physically and mentally handicapped people of the centre.

The sale of the second hand books and magazines will be held between 9am and 2.30pm, so anyone can drop in during this period and grab some bargain books from as little as R2.

“There are hundreds of books to choose from such as cookery, children’s books, non-fiction and fiction,” says Jenny Ford from the centre.

People can still donate their unwanted books for this very worthwhile cause at the centre, before the book sale day.

To get more details about this charity event, phone Ford on 011 822 2233.
