My child could have been killed

"Concerned mother" from Impala Park writes:

I hope that this may be an eye opener to parents and to the innocent people who attend the parties at H2O, as there are predators out there who are watching your child’s every movement.

On one occasion my son was standing in the queue waiting to enter H2O, when he was pushed from behind; when he got to the front of the queue he reached into his back pocket for his ticket, and a few other tickets that he was keeping, only to find that he had been pick-pocketed.

What upset me the most was, when I read the article in the Boksburg Advertiser about the shooting at H2O, I was horrified.

It brought back memories of my daughter, aged 23, who went to H2O with her brother and boyfriend on the same day as the shooting.

My daughter went to the toilet and was standing in a long queue, when a girl tried to skip the queue. My daughter approached her and said that she was to go to back of the queue.

The girl ignored her and came and stood in front of my daughter. My daughter then approached her again, telling her that she needed to go to the back of the queue.

The girl answered that the queue was too long.

My daughter told her that they had all been waiting for a long time; this girl then grabbed my daughter by the throat and started hitting her until my daughter was on the floor.

The same girl then started kicking her in the head.

Then someone opened a toilet cubicle and shouted to my daughter to come in quickly.

My daughter was severely traumatised and had marks on her arms, her head was sore, and she had a long graze mark underneath her chin, where she was grabbed.

When she left the toilets she was taken by her boyfriend to the paramedics, where she was treated, but was left traumatised as it had been mentioned by many people, including the paramedics, that if this girl was under the influence of drugs my daughter could have been killed or very seriously hurt. We can’t stand back and let people do as they please.
