
This is an initiative aimed at helping learners and the youth wo are out of work to hone their skills and tweak their artistic abilities.
Ekurhuleni metro spokesperson, Sam Modiba, explains that those who join the school will also be assisted in compiling portfolios, which may be used to apply at higher institutions of learning.
“High school learners will also benefit from the school as they hone their artistic abilities, which will give them an advantage to fulfil their arts and culture requirements in their school context,” says Modiba.
“These classes are offered at various facilities throughout the city, and applications are open until the end of October.”
Interested candidates must register by Thursday, October 31.

* Rhoo Hlatshwayo Art Centre in Daveyton;
* Springs Community Centre in Springs;
* Kwa-Thema Library in Kwa-Thema;
* Geluksdal Library in Geluksdal;
* Katlehong Art Centre in Katlehong;
* Phomolong Community Centre in Tembisa;
* Tembisa Multipurpose Centre; and
* Oakmore Community Centre in Tembisa.
