Local mall joins fight against cancer
Cupcakes for Hope invites all East Rand residents to help raise funds for children affected by cancer through South Africa's National Cupcake Day 4 Kids with Cancer, on September 28.

Having been part of helping the NPO raise R45 370 last year, East Rand Mall is fired-up and ready to help bring in more money in recognition of National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
“Cancer in children is one of the biggest challenges in life and one of the hardest things to understand,” says Alana Hoskin, East Rand Mall’s marketing manager.
“To then have the opportunity to help improve and enhance the lifestyle of a child suffering from cancer is something that I think no person can resist.”
Cupcakes for Hope is a community-based non-profit organisation that raises funds to support and lighten the burden of families in the South African communities when a child is diagnosed with cancer.
South Africa’s National Cupcake Day 4 Kids with Cancer is a community-driven national event, aimed at bringing the whole community together for a good cause.
“The Cupcakes for Hope initiative is one that is truly inspiring and creates a truly amazing vibe that is in and around East Rand Mall on the day.
“Warmth and kindness will enter each participant’s heart, and it promises to be an inspiring and life-changing event,” says Hoskin.
Become a Cupcake Angel and help bring a smile to children whose days aren’t always so sweet, by either donating cupcakes or buying them at the East Rand Mall.
