
Kosi Maphale (32), from Tembisa, Patrick Molusi (35), from Katlehong, Simphiwe Ntuli (26), from Tembisa, Sanele Mazakamba (45), from Tembisa, Edwibn Bonokwane (29), from Tembisa, Edwin Beckertz (32), from Reiger Park and Moloko Makobane (36), from Alexandra, pleaded guilty and were found guilty on September 10.
They were sentenced on September 11.
During the period of August, 2012, to January 2013, the men stole R252 153.49 from a company in Jet Park by manipulating their overtime hours, resulting in higher amounts of money being paid to them.
Maphale was sentenced to three years imprisonment, suspended on condition that he repays the amount of R47 089.72.
Molusi, Ntuli, Mazakamba and Bonokwane were sentenced to 18 months imprisonment, suspended on condition that they repay the amount of R25 750.
Beckertz was sentenced to 18 months imprisonment, suspended on condition that he repays the amount of R21 436.52.
Makobane was sentenced to 18 months imprisonment, suspended on condition that he repays the amount of R17 546.66.
Magistrate Emmanuelle Magampa presided over the matter, and Vuthlari Mulungwa appeared on behalf of the State.
