Reiger Park nurse faces disciplinary action
The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality (EMM) is in the process of taking disciplinary steps against a Reiger Park Clinic nurse.

This comes after an Ekurhuleni resident, Sylvia Daniels, alleged in an open letter to the minister of Health that the nurse was rude to patients and treated them badly.
“The metro’s labour relations section is in the process of conducting further investigations,” says metro spokesperson, Sam Modiba.
Daniels told the Advertiser that she was shocked at the attitude of the nurse when dealing with the clinic’s sick patients and hoped that something could be done to rectify the behaviour of the nurse.
“An in-depth counselling session was held with the responsible nurse and in-service training on attitude, Batho Pele principles and patients rights’ charter was held for all personnel of the Reiger Park Clinic,” says Modiba.
“The EMM endeavours to take all steps possible to prevent future occurrences and to ensure the delivery of quality health services by all its employees.”
