Numsa strike ongoing
The National Union of Metalworkers of South Africa (Numsa) says that their strike is still going ahead and it has not been suspended or called-off.
“A revised offer from the employer has been presented to our members for consideration or rejection,” says Numsa national spokesperson, Castro Ngobese.
On Tuesday, August 27, they held a meeting with the shop stewards to get a feedback from members on the revised offer.
He adds that the strike is mainly in Pretoria, Durban, Port Elizabeth and East London and has not really affected Boksburg.
