Wimpy spoils the elderly
Elderly women from the Witfield Park Old Age Home were spoiled to some cake and coffee as part of the Women’s Month celebratory events.
The old age home’s lifestyle consultant, Maritha van der Merwe, says the centre was lucky enough to have Wimpy, from the East Rand Mall, offer to sponsor the coffee for the elderly.
“We try to keep our residents occupied, active and positive, and we could not think of anything better to lift our ladies spirits for Women’s Month than to take them for a warm Wimpy coffee.
“The residents look forward to these kind of outings and they made up their minds days before what they are going to order,” says van der Walt.
All the women appear to have enjoyed themselves to the fullest, and say they are looking forward to the next day out.
“We would like to thank Wayne of the Wimpy and his staff for their kindness and help to our residents,” says Maritha.
