Covid-19: AfriForum to help the elderly during state of emergency

With the restrictions placed on citizens as per the president’s address on March 15, the patrollers are offering a courier service for people older than 60.

The patrollers of AfriForum’s Boksburg neighbourhood watch are offering their services to frail and elderly residents in the city during the coronavirus state of emergency.

The patrollers will do the elderly’s shopping and pay their accounts for them, which will lower their risk for coming into contact with any infected citizens.

Helen Bergh, chairperson of AfriForum’s Boksburg branch, said the service is free of charge.
