Burst pipe hasn’t been fixed since February 14

“It’s just sad to waste this large amount of water that people could’ve drank. I hope the metro can fix the pipe,” - concerned resident

A group project manager at a local manufacturing company on the corner of West and Bain streets is anxious about kiloliters of clean drinking water going to waste due to a burst pipeline.

According to the concerned Mike Pelser, the matter was reported immediately after the pipe burst on February 14.

The metro allegedly responded to the complaint about two weeks ago.

“After inspecting the pipe, the municipal workers explained to us that they now have to wait for a TLB machine to repair the problem. We still haven’t heard anything from them after their visit. It’s as if they don’t care,” Pelser told the Advertiser.

The burst pipe that is causing frustration.

He said the water pressure is damaging the paving around the burst pipe; however, his main concern is the water that is being wasted.

The Advertiser is still awaiting comment from the metro.
