The Advertiser is aware of an armed robbery at East Rand Mall this afternoon.
One of the jewelry stores has been targeted. Suspects were armed with Ak47’s and apparently fired shots.
At this stage it is unclear if anybody was injured in the robbery.
The mall is on lock down. The public is urged to avoid the area.
The Advertiser will update as more information comes in.
Getaway vehicle it seems was a white Nissan Tida.
