Society’s fund-raising show rocks

The society's fund-raising theme for this year is Gold Rush.

The Boksburg Society for the Aged thanked the public for attending their first fund-raising event held at the Barnyard Theatre at Emperors Palace on February 13.

Attendees enjoyed performances from the Cirque Rock cast.

According to Boksburg Society for the Aged fund-raiser Tamaryne Harding, they decided to kick-start the year with a show that included 80’s music in line with the birth of the society in the ’80s.

She thanked the following sponsors who helped make the event a success: Van Dyk Park Pharmacy, Lonrho Logistics, SPAR Sunward Park, Ithonsi Organic Spa, Accent on Functions, Smiths Party Hire, Young Tech Solutions, Bake My Day, Destiny Mobile Spa, Neptunes Beef and Prawn, Magda Wallcovering, D-Lights Biltong, Nellie Rees, Annette Harding, Wesley Field and Alpha, and the Barnyard Theatre Emperors Palace.

Harding has urged local businesses and individuals to support their society financially to make a difference in the lives of the elderly.
