Coffee shop customers held at gunpoint

The police are investigating a case of armed robbery.

A 55-year-old man and other customers got the shock of their lives when they were robbed while enjoying a cup of coffee at a local shop.

The incident took place at a coffee shop in Boksburg North on January 25.

Boksburg North police spokesperson Const Justice Ramaube said a man entered the coffee shop and bought a cooldrink.

Ramaube said the man then pulled out a gun before ordering the customers and staff to put everything they had on one table.

“The suspect allegedly grabbed everything and fled the scene in his white Ford Fiesta,” Ramaube said.

The stolen items included watches, an Apple iPhone 11, car keys and an undisclosed amount of money.
