Lions’ Christmas cake sale proves to be a succees
The profit raised goes to the club’s sight programme designed to help those who suffer from sight defects.
Throughout the year, members of the Boksburg Lions Club annually go all out to raise money and collect bare necessities of life in aid of the local NGOs and needy individuals.
One of the club’s major charity fund-raiser is the Christmas cake sale, which has been a big success in the past couple of years – thanks to the community’s support.
According to Lion James van der Heerden, the organisation’s December 2019 cake sale raised R15 500 profit, a substantial increase from the R11 600 profit made through the cake sale in 2018.
“We would like to thank the community of Boksburg and surrounding towns for their generous continued support.
“The success of our projects depend heavily on your support, and we hope that this year your support will surpass that of the previous years,” said van der Heerden.
