The EMPD made a number of arrests and issued traffic fines in the Boksburg area between December 1 to January 5.
According to Kobeli Mokheseng, acting chief supt and EMPD spokesperson, 90 motorists were arrested for drunk driving, 51 in Boksburg and 39 in Vosloorus.
He said one reported stolen motor vehicle was recovered in Boksburg and it was impounded for safe keeping.
“A total of 794 traffic fines were issued to offenders, of which 546 were in Vosloorus and 248 in Boksburg.
“One suspect was found with drugs and was apprehended in Reiger Park.”
