Sinead Lombard is on her way to hit the big stage in America
IATS is an annual talent showcase which brings talent from across South Africa to showcase their performing abilities to international scouts for an opportunity to represent South Africa at the International Modelling and Talent Association (IMTA) that will take place next year July in New York.
Sinead Lombard, a local beautician from Boksburg, is ready to make her mark in the Big Apple as a model.
The 21-year-old participated in the International ARTS Talent Showcase (IATS) at the Silverstar Casino.
“Out of so many artists, I am one of the blessed ones who has been chosen to represent South Africa and Namibia at the IMTA’S next year,” said the aspiring model.
“It was a stressful preparation process, as I knew I had to give it my all because Blaze Johnson from The Voice America, Nate Butler (part of casting team for American Idol, The X Factor USA, The Steve Harvey Show), Joey Zangardidixon from the New York Film Academy, Rhavynn Drummer (independent casting director for Tyler Perry Studios) and lastly, but most importantly, Joey Hunter were on the judging panel.
“Joey is the former president of Ford Models. He makes the final decision on who will get a callback.
“Performers who receive this callback will stand a chance to perform in front of the world’s leading talent scouts and judges. They will be on the lookout for fresh modelling, singing and dancing talent.
“I believe this is only the start of my journey and attending the IMTA’s will open more doors for me.”
She added that she is overwhelmed by the support she is receiving.
“I would like to thank the Lord, Elsubie Verlinden, my friends, family and everybody who supported me,” said Lombard.
Lombard is, however, in need of assistance from the community to make his New York dream a reality.

Getting to know her better
- Sinead lived in Boksburg her entire life and attended Hoërskool Dr EG Jansen.
- She started modelling at a young age and is signed with 33 and Me Talent Agency.
- Watching America’s Next Top Model inspired her to enter the modelling industry and Tyra Banks is her role model.
- She dreams of going to New York, Los Angeles and Europe to model.
- Would also like to open her own salon in the future.
