A woman from Angelo informal settlement suffered rape and assault at the hands of her neighbour on October 2.
According to the police report, the victim was home when the man arrived and strangled her. She tried to fight back, but she was overpowered and subsequently lost consciousness.
When she regained consciousness about 15 minutes later, she was naked, with clear signs that she had been raped.
